At Westminster College, part of the Cambridge Theological Federation, we’re proud to offer the Durham University BA in Theology, Ministry, and Mission—a dynamic, hands-on degree for those ready to explore God’s purpose for their lives and make a meaningful impact in the world.

Unlike more traditional theology programmes, this modular course places a strong emphasis on active, student-centred learning, with assessments such as oral presentations, coursework, and guided discussions. It’s ideal for students who thrive in collaborative, interactive environments.

Tailored Learning, Flexible Options

The BA in Theology, Ministry, and Mission is designed to be truly accessible—whether you’re taking your first steps into academic study or continuing your theological journey. With multiple entry points and a flexible structure, this programme welcomes learners from all educational backgrounds.

Entry Points Include:

• Taster Module
  Perfect if you’re new to study or just want to try it out. No previous academic experience needed.
• Foundation Award
  A short course worth 60 credits at Level 4 — ideal if you want to build confidence before committing to a longer programme.
• Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE)
  A full year of study (120 credits at Level 4) — ideal as a gap year with purpose. Deepen your understanding of the Bible, theology, and Christian ministry while gaining a recognised university-level qualification. Take it on its own or use it as a stepping stone into a full degree.
• BA (Hons) Degree
  A full undergraduate degree in Theology, Ministry & Mission — for those ready to go further in study, formation, or preparation for a wide range of roles.

With a minimum entry requirement of just one A-Level at grade E (or equivalent) for the CertHE, the programme is intentionally inclusive. Students are encouraged to progress at a pace that fits their life and commitments, gradually building confidence, theological insight, life skills and wisdom for life.
